Hardware


The term hardware describes the physical aspects of computers and related devices.
The physical parts of the computer that we can see and touch are known as hardware. These include the input and output devices as well as the system unit.      

·       Input devices: devices, e.g. keyboard, microphone, scanner, digital camera, etc.







·       Output devices: Devices which are used to display/present output are called output devices, e.g. Monitor, Printer, speakers, etc.







·       Storage devices hold data and instructions permanently e.g. Floppy disk, Hard disk, CD/DVD USB Flash drive, etc.








·       Communication devices which are used to communicate and connect a computer with other computers are known as communication devices e.g. Modem.
